It's your responsibility as the sender to ensure your precious cargo is protected from damage during delivery. There should be enough cushioning to prevent damage to the item, and the people and equipment handling it.
Marking your item as 'Fragile' or 'Handle with care' isn't enough, as this won't protect your item once it is on the truck being delivered.
So take extra precautions if your item is fragile, perishable, crushable, oddly shaped, sharp, or a liquid, liquefiable or powder.
All packed items should be able to withstand a drop of about 1 metre to prevent potential damage.
Below are some Do's and Dont's for parcel packaging
HUBBED cannot ship any dangerous goods through our courier network.
"Dangerous Goods" means any goods deemed of a dangerous or hazardous nature including but not limited to Goods which are or may become dangerous, inflammable, explosive, volatile or offensive (including radioactive materials) or Goods which are or may become liable to damage or injure any property or persons, whether you were aware of the dangerous or hazardous nature of the Goods or not, and includes, without limitation, goods forbidden, limited or restricted from time to time by:
(a) the International Air Transport Association ("IATA");
(b) the International Civil Aviation Organisation;
(c) the Civil Aviation Safety Authority;
(d) the Australian Dangerous Goods Code; or
(e) any applicable law, regulation, guideline or requirement of a regulatory body or government of a country or territory from which, through which or into which the Goods are carried.
Each satchel has a disclaimer on the back declaring that you are not shipping any dangerous goods. This must be ticked. Failure to acknowledge this disclaimer will not validate any liability HUBBED retains.
Whether it's coming or going we have your parcel covered.
All our parcels have tracking included. The tracking number can be found on your customer receipt when the parcel is processed in store. To track your parcel simply visit the highlighted website on the docket and type in the tracking number.
If you have received a missed delivery card from one of our couriers then you will have to enter your tracking number HERE and the details of where to pick up your parcel will be displayed along with the newsagency opening hours.
HUBBED has partnered with DHL and CouriersPlease to service their failed deliveries.
No one likes the hassle of trying to organise a re-delivery. If you're not home when the courier attempts to deliver your parcel the parcel will now be dropped off at your local HUBBED agent.
A missed delivery card will be left in your mail box with the details of the newsagency. Simply visit the HUBBED Parcels website and type in your card number to see if your parcel is ready for collection. Most parcels will be dropped off that same afternoon.
In order to collect your parcel you must have the missed delivery card (or card number), a valid Government Photo ID, and you must be the person named on the parcel.
If you do not meet the criteria, our agents will not hand over the parcel. This is for security reasons.
Parcels that are not collected after 7 days will be returned to the courier and it will be your responsibility to organise a re-delivery.
